Stop allowing your physician to send your for x-rays and MRI for problems than can be resolved with proper screening and education.
Get seen by a specialist (physio) who is a licensed and accredited expert FIRST!
Here’s why…

X-Ray does NOT show soft tissue (muscles) MRI has no support via research as to where the pain is coming from..
Did you know that 88% of people who receive an MRI have NO SYMPTOMS…how?
How is it that for so many they have poor x-ray or MRI reports but have no pain? It’s because the results from those images are not giving us a reason for the pain, it does not show your mobility, it does not show how strong you are at your core, and it does not teach you how to move correctly.
That one time you tried to exercise with someone at the gym and it just hurt, well that was because you were not shown how to move properly. This hinders your performance to the move you were attempting. You were not evaluated on your movement by an accredited expert and given a recommendation where to begin your exercise.
Stop being fear mongered and convinced and mislead that because your MRI showed a ‘slipped disc’ that that is the problem…ITS NOT! Your general practitioner follows a protocol so he can prescribe you medication for an issue they know nothing about. But before that you are told to go to PT where you are being treated with 3 other people and given no attention or time to properly be educated or listened to, and you’re certainly not having any hands on work performed to improve your mobility and pain.
When you go to physical therapy a thorough assessment should be performed to rule out any problem that does not sound like it is musculoskeletal or neuromuscular. If something is found and it is deemed necessary, a recommendation to your physician can be made for imaging.
Multiple studies show that imaging does nothing but create more of a mental problem and increase symptoms and encourages BAD MOVEMENT.
STOP BELIEVING YOUR X-Ray/MRI IS THE END ALL BE ALL.
